The film is based on a real base character named Kabir Khan (played by SRK), which is an Indian hockey team captain, who lost against Pakistan and he was a scapegoat for their losses, inturn made. Kabir Khan wanted to deny all allegations against him and for that he is a difficult task as coach in Indian women's hockey team, which is almost the visible horizon.
