The only way I can understand the extreme critisism of this movie, is that it comes from either folks who have never seen the series,or are not fans. Those who are fans and don't like it, just what are you expecting here?

I found the story and the acting fun, I enjoyed myself throughly.


Although I am on record as opposing gay weddings, the one in the movie was enjoyable, I even liked the 2 "brooms" as they were called by Liza Minelli.

I could understand Carries frustration with Big. A lot of women object to watching TV in the bedroom, and men who want to crash on the couch instead of going out. The other 3 womens situations were also highly believable.

I thought the jokes and dialouge were exactly what normal and clever women would say,again I don't know what the critics were expecting.

The trip to Arabia was great too. Don't believe the garbage about being offensive to Muslims. Such people who make those accusations, are annoyingly PC, and probably would have no problem if the same scences, were being directed at Christian Fundamentilists!

I found the interactions between Carrie , her butler, and the man at the shoe market sensitive, and heartwarming.

Best of all, is the conclusion of the film, it leaves you feelin good, and wanting more.

So just ignore the critics who expected too much, or want to pin some kind of moral requirements on this film. See it, and you will have a very good time also.

I became an Adam Sandler fan late in the game and always was a fan of Drew Barrymore. This movie does a wonderful job of bringing out the best of both actors. It is your typical boy meets girl story with a few twists and turns along the way. A very enjoyable movie well worth having in your collection. The soundtrack also has a lot of great hits from the 80's so for those that remember the 80's with fond memories will also get a kick out of the movie.

If you like this, check out the two in "50 First Dates" another great romantic comedy!

I saw Blow (2001) in the theater when it came out and liked it. This movie stars the versatile Johnny Depp, who, in my opinion, is the best actor of our time. The guy can do anything. It also stars the stunning Penelope Cruz, Paul Reubens, and Ray Liotta, another versatile actor.

The movie is based on a true story and is about the rise and fall of cocaine dealer George Jung (Johnny Depp). He at one time was the biggest importer of Colombian cocaine to the U.S. His partner in crime was the extremely dangerous Pablo Escobar, the famous Colombian drug lord. In order to achieve his remarkable feats of importing cocaine undetected, Jung had to have great courage, confidence, and determination, which he did. He seemed to have TOO much confidence. He paid the price when he got caught. He gets out of prison and just repeats the very things that landed him in prison to begin with. The guy's a total loser, one of those repeat offenders that doesn't learn his lessons. His cocaine dealing dramatically affected the U.S. in that the supply of cocaine on the streets of the U.S. skyrocketed during the 1970s and 1980s.

Ray Liotta (Unlawful Entry, Field Of Dreams, Article 99) plays Jung's father. Penelope Cruz (Vanilla Sky, Nine) plays Jung's wife. Watching this movie will bring you back to the '70s and '80s. The clothing, cars, and overall society as it was back then are portrayed accurately. You'll also hear some rock songs from that era.

The acting is very good, especially by Depp and Cruz.

What can I say? I love this series and I enjoyed this movie very much. Anytime a book is turned into a movie a certain amount of editing is done and I always hold my breath until I see if they have damaged the story. New Moon is very well done. I have watched both of the DVDs for the Twilight series and I own both of them. I have even pre-ordered Eclipse. These are wonderful stories. I have not found Vampire stories presented in such a soft, inviting fashion before. Stephanie Meyer is a genius. I have seen all the press and literary reviews touting that these are for teens and young adults. I have even seen them referred to as teen angst stories. I totally disagree with that premise. I am in my 60s and I have read all 4 of the books 3 times and will no doubt read them again. I hope the DVDs can withstand the wear and tear that I will no doubt put them through. These characters have become like family to me and I enjoy loving the Cullens and the Quileutes and despising the Volturi.
