What can I say? I love this series and I enjoyed this movie very much. Anytime a book is turned into a movie a certain amount of editing is done and I always hold my breath until I see if they have damaged the story. New Moon is very well done. I have watched both of the DVDs for the Twilight series and I own both of them. I have even pre-ordered Eclipse. These are wonderful stories. I have not found Vampire stories presented in such a soft, inviting fashion before. Stephanie Meyer is a genius. I have seen all the press and literary reviews touting that these are for teens and young adults. I have even seen them referred to as teen angst stories. I totally disagree with that premise. I am in my 60s and I have read all 4 of the books 3 times and will no doubt read them again. I hope the DVDs can withstand the wear and tear that I will no doubt put them through. These characters have become like family to me and I enjoy loving the Cullens and the Quileutes and despising the Volturi.

"The Twilight Saga: New Moon (Steelbook Special Edition) [Blu-ray]" Overview

In the second chapter of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling Twilight series, the romance between mortal Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) grows more intense as ancient secrets threaten to destroy them. When Edward leaves in an effort to keep Bella safe, she tests fate in increasingly reckless ways in order to glimpse her love once more. few scratches - Dena - Bentonia, Ms, US
got the dvd earlier than expected which was great. it did have a few scratches so the quality of the actual dvd was not that great. but better than expected for a used dvd

Decent Movie - R. Vos -
This film is probably my least favorite of the 3 currently released "Twilight" films. Though it does a good job following the book, I felt like many of the important scenes were fast-forwarded through... not sure how this could be avoided with limited film-time, though. Overall, a good movie and a must-have if you are a "Twilight" fan. There's no sense in owning one if you aren't going to own them all!

Better than the first! - Andrea Zuvich - London, United Kingdom
A much more traditional film experience than the first Indie-fest that was Twilight, New Moon has better cinematography, film colouring, camerawork and angles and a nicer stylization. Also, the score for this by Alexandre Desplat was much more heartrending and powerful than the score for the first film by Carter Burwell, in my opinion. Stewart, Pattinson and Lautner (and all the others in the cast) seem more well-developed in their characterizations. I give this 5 stars for being well-acted, well-paced, visually satisfying and entertaining.
